What do Muslims know of Christ? Jesus is mentioned only 29 times in the Qur'an ,and most of those are just litanies of prophets that Muhammad would have liked to number himself among. There are only two actual stories of Christ in the Qur'an. One of them is drawn from the apocryphal Protovangelium of James, and the other is made up of whole cloth, with Muhammad projecting Christ into events that actually happened to Muhammad.

The fact is that Muslims don't have any idea who Christ was, what he taught, what the basis of his teaching was, or why his sacrifice on the cross was necessary to defeat the power of sin over the lives of God's children.

The prophets were very clear about who the antichrist is. One of the characteristics of the antichrist will be that his followers will behead the faithful for their beliefs. Who is being beheaded today in the world, and who is doing the beheading?

Polygamy Is Not God's Ideal, But It Is For Allah

It says in the Quran that Muslim men are allowed up to 4 wives and all the women that their right hands possess.  Examples:

Quran 4:3  If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, Marry women of your choice, Two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice.

Quran 4:24  Also (forbidden are) women already married, except those (captives and slaves) whom your right hands possess. Thus has Allah ordained for you. All others are lawful, provided you seek (them in marriage) with Mahr (bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage) from your property, desiring chastity, not committing illegal sexual intercourse, so with those of whom you have enjoyed sexual relations, give them their Mahr as prescribed; but if after a Mahr is prescribed, you agree mutually (to give more), there is no sin on you. Surely, Allah is Ever AllKnowing, AllWise.

So, Muslims think this is great, that they can have up to 4 wives and an unlimited amount of captive women.  This is sanctified marriage in Islam, but misogyny and a crime in civilized cultures.  Muhammad of course didn't have to keep this law.  Allah let him break the law, which is not something God did with His true prophets:

Quran 33:50  O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom God has assigned to thee; and daughters of thy paternal uncles and aunts, and daughters of thy maternal uncles and aunts, who migrated (from Makka) with thee; and any believing woman who dedicates her soul to the Prophet if the Prophet wishes to wed her; - this only for thee, and not for the Believers (at large); We know what We have appointed for them as to their wives and the captives whom their right hands possess; - in order that there should be no difficulty for thee. And God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.  

Muslims will falsely claim that Islam was the first belief system to strictly limit the number of wives a man can have, that Islam liberates women.  Well, allowing for "right hand possessions" doesn't sound very liberating.  Muslims will point out that some men in the Bible had many wives, which is true, but is that what God really wanted?

There are stories in the Bible that we are to learn from. Polygamy is one such thing. Most cases of polygamy in the Bible show consequences to these actions. Abraham taking Hagar is one example. The consequences of that are people being confused over which child has a covenant with God (it's Isaac btw) and producing the line for Islam.  It has led to a horrible lineage of violence against the Hebrew people, Israel, and all non-Muslims.  Christians are being persecuted like never before in history because of this act of polygamy that went against God's promise, which was that Sarah would be the mother of kings, not Hagar!  Most of the problems still happening in the Middle East are because of this mistake of polygamy.

This warning was given to kings and Solomon broke it, which led to idolatry and a divided nation!!

Deu 17:16 But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the LORD hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way. 
Deu 17:17 Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold. 

Some other Biblical verses that speak against polygamy and promote monogamy and intimacy:

Ephesians 5:31  For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.  

Genesis 2:24  Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.  

Titus 1:6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. 

Leaders of God are specifically forbidden also:

1Timothy  3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

God expressed marriage as one man and one woman who united to become one.  There was no room or need for anyone else.  Allah desecrated and perverted God's ideal marriage.  It's clear that the Islamic version is ungodly.  

Satan Is Busy When We Are Sleeping

Muhammad knew a lot about Satan - Shaytan in Islam.

These are from Sahih Bukhari collection of ahadith.  Sahih means authentic, genuine or trusted.  Bukhari is generally considered the 2nd most important book in Islam, at least for Sunni Muslims, who make up the vast majority of followers of Islam.


Volume 4, Book 54, Number 491:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "During your sleep, Satan knots three knots at the back of the head of each of you, and he breathes the following words at each knot, 'The night is, long, so keep on sleeping,' If that person wakes up and celebrates the praises of Allah, then one knot is undone, and when he performs ablution the second knot is undone, and when he prays, all the knots are undone, and he gets up in the morning lively and gay, otherwise he gets up dull and gloomy. "

Volume 4, Book 54, Number 492:
Narrated 'Abdullah:
It was mentioned before the Prophet that there was a man who slept the night till morning (after sunrise). The Prophet said, "He is a man in whose ears (or ear) Satan had urinated."

Volume 4, Book 54, Number 513:
Narrated Abu Qatada:
The Prophet said, "A good dream is from Allah, and a bad or evil dream is from Satan; so if anyone of you has a bad dream of which he gets afraid, he should spit on his left side and should seek Refuge with Allah from its evil, for then it will not harm him."


Volume 4, Book 54, Number 516:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, "If anyone of you rouses from sleep and performs the ablution, he should wash his nose by putting water in it and then blowing it out thrice, because Satan has stayed in the upper part of his nose all the night."

Paulian?

It's a common Muslim criticism that the Christian Church is the work of Paul and not Christ, that Paul was an enemy of Christ, that he corrupted the church and fashioned it with his writings contrary to the teachings of Christ.  Many Muslims believe that Paul wrote the New Testament.

The charge that Paul somehow corrupted the church and distorted the teachings of Jesus is completely without merit.  Had Paul taught anything that wasn't in accord with the teachings of Jesus, the other apostles, particularly Peter, James and John, would have repudiated him and denounced him.  This is not the case. There is no record of any such discord between Paul and the other apostles. The record does show disagreements, and how those disagreements were resolved, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

There are 7956 verses in the New Testament.  Of these, only 2032 of these are written by Paul, slightly more than a quarter.  Paul contributed nothing to any of the four Gospels.  Muslims are very quick to point out that Paul was an enemy of Christianity, ignoring the amazing tale of his conversion to become one of the most vocal proponents of Christ, right up until his death as a martyr. People who make this charge should erase their ignorance by reading the Acts of the Apostles.

If Muslims took a moment to read the Bible instead of their Islamic sources, they would know that Paul didn't change who Jesus is.  Paul was changed because of who Jesus is!

Revelations or Seizures?

Muhammad was asked what it's like to receive revelations from the spirit that visited him.  His description is very interesting, as recorded in authentic ahadith:

Narrated 'Aisha:

(the mother of the faithful believers) Al-Harith bin Hisham asked Allah's Apostle "O Allah's Apostle! How is the Divine Inspiration revealed to you?" Allah's Apostle replied, "Sometimes it is (revealed) like the ringing of a bell, this form of Inspiration is the hardest of all and then this state passes ' off after I have grasped what is inspired. Sometimes the Angel comes in the form of a man and talks to me and I grasp whatever he says." 'Aisha added: Verily I saw the Prophet being inspired Divinely on a very cold day and noticed the Sweat dropping from his forehead (as the Inspiration was over).

 

Ringing, voices and sweating?  Look at these symptoms from epilepsyfoundation.org about Simple Partial Seizures:

 

"Simple partial seizures in these areas can produce odd sensations such as a sense of a breeze on the skin; unusual hissing, buzzing or ringing sounds; voices that are not really there;"

(But as soon as he took off his waist sheet) he fell unconscious on the ground with both his eyes towards the sky. When he came to his senses, he said, "My waist sheet! My waist sheet!" Then he tied his waist sheet (round his waist).

Book 026, Number 5395:

A'isha reported that Sauda (Allah he pleated with her) went out (in the fields) in order to answer the call of nature even after the time when veil had been prescribed for women. She had been a bulky lady, significant in height amongst the women, and she could not conceal herself from him who had known her. 'Umar b. Khattab saw her and said: Sauda, by Allah, you cannot conceal from us. Therefore, be careful when you go out. She ('A'isha) said: She turned back. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) was at that time in my house having his evening meal and there was a bone in his hand. She (Sauda) cline and said: Allah's Messenger. I went out and 'Umar said to me so and so. She ('A'isha) reported: There came the revelation to him and then it was over; the bone was then in his hand and he had not thrown it and he said:" Permission has been granted to you that you may go out for your needs."

 

Another description shows that Muhammad was in distress with these 'divine' experiences:

 

Volume 1, Book 1, Number 4:

Narrated Said bin Jubair:

Ibn 'Abbas in the explanation of the Statement of Allah. 'Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran) to make haste therewith." (75.16) Said "Allah's Apostle used to bear the revelation with great trouble and used to move his lips (quickly) with the Inspiration." Ibn 'Abbas moved his lips saying, "I am moving my lips in front of you as Allah's Apostle used to move his."...

 

There are other ahadith and Islamic writings on this subject.  Muhammad's biography tells of him having suicidal thoughts - he was going to throw himself off a mountain.  Clearly he had problems - very well documented problems. Epilepsy may have been one of them.  It's not funny, but it's also not prophetic. 

The Bible and Qur'an

The Bible was written over a period of 1400 years by inspired, but fallible men, for the purpose of relating a developing relationship between God and His people. It was written from the understanding and perspective of the men who wrote it, who, in spite of their inspiration, were not omniscient.  They recorded their books in the common understandings of the day.

This is understood and accepted by all Biblical scholars. At issue is not that there are discrepancies, but that the entirety of the text is as consistent as it is. The events recorded there, recorded by men over centuries, paint a magnificent story arc with a beginning and an end, and a development along the way that encompasses all of creation. As a piece of literature it would be magnificent in its scope if it were penned by a single author.  When you consider that it was written by many people over centuries, and still developed as it did, it is nothing short of a miracle and a testament to the Holy Spirit who moved the authors to record what they had observed.

Now, we turn to the Qur'an, which appeared overnight, historically speaking, originating across the lips of one man over a span of 23 years. It was not written down at the time, but Muslims claim it's the literal word of Allah, from his lips to your ears, as it were. Gee, Allah wrote a book and called it the Qur'an. I would expect it to be the user's manual for the universe, right? I would expect it to be perfect in all ways, entirely consistent.

Too bad it's not. It has no narrative, no story arc, no real organization except the longer surahs (chapters) are more or less in front.  It's self-contradictory and contains many factual errors. It's obviously a retelling of biblical and apocryphal stories that the author had heard years before, half-remembered and never understood.  I've heard Muslims claim the Qur'an is the finest literary example of Arabic.  It may well be, particularly since Muslims have a known penchant for destroying any other writing that isn't the Qur'an. But from a literary standpoint, the Qur'an is garbage. There are so many finer works of literature in the world!

The Qur'an is needlessly repetitive, much of it is plagiarized badly from other Judeo-Christian scripture. It's senseless, has no narrative thread, often changes subject in mid-verse. It's boring, hard to read, endlessly narcissistic, contains many substantial contradictions and often leads the reader wondering what the author was talking about. There is no uplifting message, nothing to give the reader hope, just the endless self-congratulation of Allah and needless reminders that you are his slave.

About the only thing I find mildly interesting is when Muhammad would start to get angry. Some verses start mildly, and then Muhammad is reminded of something that someone did to him.  He starts talking about it and gets worked up - you can tell he's talking faster and faster, working himself up into a lather.  By the end, you can almost imagine him red-faced and screaming as he condemns his detractors to Hell-fire and eternal torture. It's a fascinating study into the state of mind of a complete madman.

More meaningless nonsense.   What does this prove?   God is not the author of confusion, so allah is clearly not God.   These letters prove that allah and his messenger are crazy!  So is anyone who thinks this is a "miracle", lol.  

Who named Christians?

The Qur'an and hadith specifically call followers of Muhammad to label themselves Muslim and their religion Islam.  They criticize Christians on the basis that Christ never directed them to call themselves anything.  But anything or group of things needs some sort of name with which to distinguish itself from others that are not part of the group. A simple descriptive is sufficient, if it conveys a correct and universally understood appellation:

Christ followers = Christian.
Native of Germany = German
Guard of a person = Guardian
Resident of Rome = Roman
Someone from Africa = African
Associated with Arabia = Arabian
Someone from Mesopotamia - Mesopotamian.

English. It's not that difficult. Muslims should learn to speak it sometime, and quit twisting themselves around stupid little word games that mean nothing.

I don't understand the source of this imaginary mandate for God to label His children.  Is there some mental fixation Muslims have - that a follower of Yeshua needs to be told how he should refer to himself?

Allah and YHWH

The Lord God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus established an everlasting covenant that he will never break with the Jews. God's dedication to this covenant is a resounding theme throughout the Bible. Allah hates the Jews and wants to see them all dead.

The Lord God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus sent his only son to be the sacrifice in the Abrahamic tradition to prove to us that no sin is greater than his love. Allah denies that any such thing happened.

The Lord God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus never compliments himself, but does not shy away from the praise of his creation. Allah incessantly congratulates himself on how great he is, as if he's desperately trying to convince himself.

The Lord God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus is Our Father. In repeated teachings, Jesus made it clear that God sees us as a father sees his children. Allah is a slave master and we are his slaves.

God commands us to love on another, to turn the other cheek, to seek peace and resolve conflicts. Allah says to kill anyone who doesn't believe in Islam.

The Lord God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus invites us to a banquet. Allah demands we grovel at his feet and pound our heads in submission.

The Lord God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus deplores mindless repetition as prayer. Allah wants his mind-numbed slaves to endlessly repeat his Quran, even if they don't understand the words they speak.

The Lord God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus knows all. Allah couldn't even correctly identify the three aspects of the trinity.

You disparage the concept of the trinity as being contradictory to monotheism. You obviously don't understand the trinity, as there is no contradiction. The trinity is one single God, the Lord God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus, in three aspects - God in heaven, God's Word made flesh, and God's will as it lives in the hearts of the faithful.

The name of God is not Allah. As the Lord God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus said to Moses, his name is "I AM" (Hebrew YHWH), and that would be his name for all time and all generations. Allah is a Sanskrit name for one of the ancient gods of the vedic Hindu, which Muhammad appropriated after the Hijra, because it was his family's patron God of the Ka'aba, which is a vedic Hindu shrine, circumambulated by its faithful in a fashion that was ancient among the Hindu even in Muhammad's day.

Allah is either a figment of Muhammad's temporal lobe epilepsy, informed by Muhammad's pagan roots and the Judeo-Christian influence he experienced in his caravan trips to Syria, or Allah is a demonic spirit. One thing is clear: Allah is NOT the Lord God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus.

QISAS - Retaliation, The Law of Equality

I'm sure most people have heard the Biblical principle of "an eye for an eye", but they don't believe it applies any more. Besides, "Vengeance is mine", said the Lord.  We don't retaliate.  We don't demand the right to break someone's arm if that person broke ours, accidentally or not.  Most of us allow for forgiveness and mercy, although using legal means to compensate for medical expenses and pain and suffering seems fair and just.  Most people feel this way...Muslims don't. 

 

In Islam, Al-Qisas means retaliation and it is a law from allah referred to as The Law of Equality (in punishment).  There are Quran verses to support the literal "eye for an eye".  It is part of Sharia.  

 

2:178  O ye who believe! the law of equality is prescribed to you in cases of murder: the free for the free, the slave for the slave, the woman for the woman. But if any remission is made by the brother of the slain, then grant any reasonable demand, and compensate him with handsome gratitude, this is a concession and a Mercy from your Lord. After this whoever exceeds the limits shall be in grave penalty.

 

2:194  The prohibited month for the prohibited month, - and so for all things prohibited, - there is the law of equality. If then any one transgresses the prohibition against you, Transgress ye likewise against him. But fear God, and know that God is with those who restrain themselves.

 

16:126  And if ye do catch them out, catch them out no worse than they catch you out: But if ye show patience, that is indeed the best (course) for those who are patient.

 

17:33  Nor take life - which God has made sacred - except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand qisas or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for he is helped (by the Law).

 

One thing needs to be clarified though concerning "equality" in Islam.  Not all people are equal.  If they were, Quran 2:178 would say person for person and not free for free, slave for slave and woman for woman.  Obviously free and slave people are not equal, but this also shows that women are not considered free or equal to men.

 

Keep Sharia away from us!  The civilized world is no place for savagery and inequality.  I also don't like the thought of having a justice system that employs arm breakers, eye takers, or beheaders.  Do you?

That he heard the prophet saying, "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the  wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful.  And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, 'Return to us tomorrow.'  Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and he will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection."

Abu Talha Ansari reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Angels do not enter the house in which there is a picture or portraits. I came to 'A'isha and said to her: This is a news that I have received that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) had said: Angels do not enter the house in which there is a picture or a dog, (and further added) whether she had heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) making a mention of it. She said: No (I did not hear this myself), but I narrate to you what I saw him doing. I bear testimony to the fact that he (the Holy Prophet) set out for an expedition. I took a carpet and screened the door with it. When he (the Holy Prophet) came back he saw that carpet and I perceived signs of disapproval on his face. He pulled it until it was torn or it was cut (into pieces) and he said: God has not commanded us to clothe stones and clay. We cut it (the curtain) and prepared two pillowa out of it by stuffing them with the fibre of date-palms and he (the Holy Prophet) did not find fault with it.

 

Book 024, Number 5258:

 

A'isha reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) entered (my apartment) and I had hung (on the door of my apartment) a thin curtain having pictures on it. The colour of his face underwent a change. He then took hold of that curtain and tore it and then said: The most grievous torment for the people on the Day of Resurrection would be for those who try to imitate Allah in the act of creation.

 

Sahih Bukhari

Volume 3, Book 34, Number 318:

 

 Narrated Aisha:  (mother of the faithful believers) I bought a cushion with pictures on it. When Allah's Apostle saw it, he kept standing at the door and did not enter the house. I noticed the sign of disgust on his face, so I said, "O Allah's Apostle! I repent to Allah and H is Apostle . (Please let me know) what sin I have done." Allah's Apostle said, "What about this cushion?" I replied, "I bought it for you to sit and recline on." Allah's Apostle said, "The painters (i.e. owners) of these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection. It will be said to them, 'Put life in what you have created (i.e. painted).' " The Prophet added, "The angels do not enter a house where there are pictures."

 

 

Music distracts people so they spend less time reading the Quran and listening to Allah.  It doesn't matter that music is therapeutic and calms the savage beast.  It doesn't matter that it's been shown that playing an instrument can positively impact cognitive functions.  It doesn't matter that music just makes you feel good and brings joy to people.   

 

Pictures - well only Allah can create things, so don't you do it, lol!  And angels won't come into a house where there are pictures. 

 

What a shame.  And what a silly, petty god! 

A FEW GROSS SAYINGS AND DOINGS OF MUHAMMAD

Remember that Muhammad is not just a prophet in Islam, but the "seal" of the prophets.  He's the best thing ever.  Muslims are to emulate him and they do that by following the ahadith, traditions of "the prophet".  

 

Sunan Abu Dawood Book 1, Number 270:

 

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin:   Umarah ibn Ghurab said that his paternal aunt narrated to him that she asked Aisha: What if one of us menstruates and she and her husband have no bed except one? She replied: I relate to you what the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) had done.

 

One night he entered (upon me) while I was menstruating. He went to the place of his prayer, that is, to the place of prayer reserved (for this purpose) in his house. He did not return until I felt asleep heavily, and he felt pain from cold. And he said: Come near me. I said: I am menstruating. He said: Uncover your thighs. I, therefore, uncovered both of my thighs. Then he put his cheek and chest on my thighs and I lent upon he until he became warm and slept.

 

 

Abu Dawood, Book 1, Number 67:

 

Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri:  I heard that the people asked the Prophet of Allah: Water is brought for you from the well of Buda'ah. It is a well in which dead dogs, menstrual clothes, and excrement of people are thrown. The Messenger of Allah replied: Verily water is pure and is not defiled by anything.

Volume 1, Book 4, Number 139:

 

Narrated 'Abbas bin Tamim:

My uncle asked Allah's Apostle about a person who imagined to have passed wind during the prayer.  Allah's Apostle replied:  "He should not leave his prayers unless he hears sound or smells something."

 

 

This one...I don't understand it, but should he make a young girl wear a sheet with marks and rub those marks? This has gross pedophile written all over it!

When I came from Ethiopia (to Medina), I was a young girl. Allah's Apostle made me wear a sheet having marks on it. Allah's Apostle was rubbing those marks with his hands saying, "Sanah! Sanah!" (i.e. good, good).

FRIENDS

Muslims, who follow Islam, cannot be friends with non-Muslims. 

 

From the Quran:

 

058:022 You (O Muhammad SAW) will not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, making friendship with those who oppose Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), even though they were their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred (people). For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with Ruh (proofs, light and true guidance) from Himself. And We will admit them to Gardens (Paradise) under which rivers flow, to dwell therein (forever). Allah is pleased with them, and they with Him. They are the Party of Allah. Verily, it is the Party of Allah that will be the successful.

 

003:028  Let not the believers take the disbelievers as Auliya (supporters, helpers, etc.) instead of the believers, and whoever does that will never be helped by Allah in any way, except if you indeed fear a danger from them. And Allah warns you against Himself (His Punishment) and to Allah is the final return.

 

Muslims pray 5 times a day and every time, this is supposed to be part of their prayer - again, right from the Quran:

 

001:005-007  You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything). Guide us to the Straight Way The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians).
