Jesus Never Prayed Like A Muslim

Muslims claim that Jesus prayed like they do.  They claim to follow Jesus better than Christians do.  I hear this from them all the time.  They often use this one particular Bible verse to prove their point:

Matthew 26:39
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will."

Ok, so Jesus fell to His face!

Hmm...is that what Muslims really do?  NO!

First of all, Muslims go through a set routine before and during prayer that is not mentioned in this Bible verse at all.  Muslims have to perform ablution, ritual cleansing, before prayer.  No mention of Jesus doing that before He fell to His face.  Muslims use a prayer rug.  Jesus must have forgot His rug this time, lol.
They place the rug so they are facing Mecca.  Jesus never prayed to the Kaaba and a black stone, as Muslims are required to do 5 times a day.  Muslims call out Allahu Akbar, but Jesus said, "My Father".  Again, not the same and allah would burn them for calling him father, something he repeated denies being in  the Quran.  One example is:

Quran 9:30  The Jews call 'Uzair a son of God, and the Christians call Christ the son of God. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. God's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!

Muslims stand, raise arms, fold arms, bow, prostate, kneel, stand, recite Quran, etc., but Jesus did not!

Here's an example of how Muslims pray and it's not walking, falling on your face and praying to our Father!

Step One: Takbiirah
The prayers begin with a 'takbiirah' to announce that the prayers has started.
The person says: "Allahu Akbar" and raises his hands behind his ears to announce the prayers has started.

Step Two: Doing a rak3ah
A rak3ah is a unit of prayers. Depending on the prayer of the day, you will perform a different number of rak3ah.

What is a rak3ah?
A rak3ah is a unit in prayers that is composed of the following:
1. Reading al-fati7ah
2. Reading a surah after the fati7ah (only in the first 2 rak3ah of all prayers)
3. Kneeling and saying: 'sub7aana rabiyya-al-3a6'iim' 3 times
4. Standing upright again and saying: 'sami3a Allahu liman 7amida'
5. Bending down to prostrate and saying: 'Allahu akbar'
5. Prostrating and saying: 'sub7aana rabiyya-al-a3laa' 3 times
6. Raising the head and saying: 'Allahu akbar'
7. Prostrating and saying: 'sub7aana rabiyya-al-a3laa' 3 times

Notice the ritualistic repetition throughout the prayer.  This is not how Jesus prayed either.  As a matter of fact, Jesus told us not to use vain repetition:

Matthew 6

5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

I think it's pretty clear that Muslims don't have a clue how Jesus prayed.  If they did, and if they followed Him, the wouldn't be praying the Islamic way.

Where's the Red Crescent?

In the wake of the typhoon disaster in the Philippines, where is the Muslim Red Crescent aid organization?  Why are the fabulously wealthy countries in the middle east not tripping over each other to send aid and relief to the Philippines?  These countries have huge ties with the Filipino people, which is where they get many of their domestic helpers.  Is it right that people must pass a religious litmus test before you will provide aid, and if so, should we remember this the next time something terrible happens in a predominantly Muslim country?

Hijab Prevents Rape?

Quran 24:31  And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards God, that ye may attain Bliss.

Muslims believe hijab will prevent rape!  Don't believe me?  Allah said:

Quran 33:59  O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad): that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. And God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

I had the misfortune of dealing with an ignorant Muslim recently who actually said the rape victim is just as much to blame as the rapist.  Why?  He said they were "disgusting animals who roamed the streets."  Not the rapists, but women who don't cover up.  He claimed, "They are loose in clothing and character, which encourages evil men to rape."  He must be talking about Muslim men, as they  are the only ones who feel they have the right to attack an uncovered woman.  Christian men don't believe that.  Atheists don't believe that.  I've never heard a Jew, Hindu, Buddhist, pagan say that women deserve to be raped and encourage it.  Nope!  But Muslim men say it all the time!

I asked this man why Allah didn't command him to be covered from head to toe.  Didn't Allah know that males are raped also?  Doesn't Allah care about young boys and men?  So are these unfortunate male rape victims animals who deserved it?  Are they loose too and share in the blame, even though they weren't ordered to cover everything?  Men only have to cover from navel to knees.  I guess no one finds a man's chest, arms, hair, face, abs attractive at all! Allah really is an idiot that knew nothing about human behavior.

So this degenerate Muslim went on to say: "So sometimes the raped criminal deserves the rapist criminal. Not deserves, but their "love" is a mutual attraction. Filth loves filth. So women, if you want to be loved by pure men and not by rapists, consider being pure women. Thank you."

The Muslim mentality is that if a woman doesn't wear a hijab, then she is filth, not a pure woman, and deserves what happens.  Notice there is no talk AT ALL of teaching men to show respect to all women.  No talk of it being illegal to touch another person against their will NO MATTER WHAT!  No, sadly, that's not the Islamic way.  Islam blames the woman for the man's lust.  It makes the poor Muslim man into a victim of circumstance, as if beyond his control.

Feeling Gloomy?

Are you not a morning person?  According to "prophet" Muhammad, this is why:

Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 54, Number 491:
Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "During your sleep, Satan knots three knots at the back of the head of each of you, and he breathes the following words at each knot, 'The night is, long, so keep on sleeping,' If that person wakes up and celebrates the praises of Allah, then one knot is undone, and when he performs ablution the second knot is undone, and when he prays, all the knots are undone, and he gets up in the morning lively and gay, otherwise he gets up dull and gloomy. "

Mo is so wise, lol.

Barnabas, Allah or The Truth?

Muslims are always trying to find ways to prove Islam is right, especially about Jesus being nothing more than a prophet.  One of the most annoying and disingenuous arguments they use is the "Gospel of Barnabas".

Now, let's make this clear from the start.  The "Gospel of Barnabas" is not a gospel at all.  It's been proved to be a forgery:

The Muslim scholar Cyril Glassé states:

As regards the "Gospel of Barnabas" itself, there is no question that it is a medieval forgery. A complete Italian manuscript exists which appears to be a translation from a Spanish original (which exists in par
t), written to curry favor with Muslims of the time. It contains anachronisms which can date only from the Middle Ages and not before, and shows a garbled comprehension of Islamic doctrines, calling the Prophet "the Messiah", which Islam does not claim for him. Besides its farcical notion of sacred history, stylistically it is a mediocre parody of the Gospels, as the writings of Baha'Allah are of the Koran.

The Concise Encyclopedia of Islam, Harper & Row, 1989, p. 64

Let's pretend the scholars are wrong - there are others who also agree it's a forgery.  Can Muslims honestly use Barnabas to prove the Bible is wrong about who Jesus is and that the Quran is correct?  Well, they can try, but they will run into some problems.  If they read the fake Gospel, Muslims would realize there are many other things in it that don't agree with the Quran, which would mean their allah was wrong.  Oh...what a dilemma!  Who to believe?

The Gospel of Barnabas says that Jesus is not the Son of God, only a messenger.  Muslims love that!  It agrees with the Quran.  But here's the problem.  It also says that Jesus is NOT the Messiah.  Why is that a problem?  Because the Quran, the literal word of allah, says that Jesus IS the Messiah.  Both books cannot be correct.  Which one will Muslims choose, lol?

Gospel of Barnabas -

42.

Then the disciples wept after this discourse, and Jesus was weeping, when they saw many who came to find him, for the chiefs of the priests took counsel among themselves to catch him in his talk. Wherefore they sent the Levites and some of the scribes to question him, saying: 'Who art thou?'

Jesus confessed, and said the truth: 'I am not the Messiah.'

But the Quran says:

Quran 3:45  (And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah).

Here's another glaring contradiction...

In the Gospel of Barnabas, it says that Mary, mother of Jesus, was pain-free when giving birth:

Gospel of Barnabas

3.  The virgin was surrounded by a light exceeding bright, and brought forth her son without pain, whom she took in her arms, and wrapping him in swaddling-clothes, laid him in the manger, because there was no room in the inn.

The Quran disagrees:

Quran 19:23
And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm-tree: She cried (in her anguish): "Ah! would that I had died before this! would that I had been a thing forgotten and out of sight!"

What does the Bible say about Jesus?  Many things including God saying Jesus is His Son!

Matthew 3:16-17
16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He[a] saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

There are other instances of discord between these books including the number of wives a man can have and the number of heavens.  I wonder who is right?  Is it Barnabas or allah?  I know neither can be trusted...but Muslims don't.  For some reason, they believe both, lol.
